Now Hiring: Community & Network Development Manager

NEWaukee is an engagement agency that helps organizations build new, transformational experiences for their candidates, employees, members and customers.

We are looking for an experienced Community & Network Development Manager to connect, engage and inspire our growing customer programs, both for our NEWaukee brand and our clients.

You’ll build and lead engagement strategy for NEWaukee/client communities. Engage in thoughtful conversations and provide the best customer experience to our audiences. On a given day, you may be: talking with community members, connecting members with one another or to resources, planning events or workshops for the community, onboarding new members or inviting prospective members to join.

You will work collaboratively with our entire team, providing key client insights and metrics to inform business development and materials, marketing campaigns and more. We’re a small team, but we think big (across multiple time zones!) to deliver amazing results for our clients and share a combined passion for building belonging.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and execute an engagement strategy that drives growth and action within our communities
  • Form relationships with audience members and customers in order to nurture sales
  • Maintain CRMs to accurately reflect member engagement
  • Drive online and in-person engagement of members
  • Provide input on topics that should be added to our community forums (Slack, events, blogs, social media) to help meet customer needs and create content to keep the community engaged
  • Coordinate with platform vendors and technical resources
  • Produce and host creative events of value to members that inspire engagement and conversion
  • Regularly connect members to one another and to resources
  • Track and report on community engagement initiatives, capturing and interpreting key analytics
  • Key KPIs include: quality and quantity of new community members; cadence of outreach and speed of response to community members; and how well our community is answering the needs of our customers (attendance at events, engagement within posts, number of replies on discussions)

What You’ll Need:

  • 2-4 years experience of demonstrated ability to form, lead and grow communities (small- and/or large-scale)
  • Passion for bringing people together and helping to find creative solutions to client needs
  • Initiative, creativity and an interest in experimentation – you will review our current platforms and processes, suggest changes where necessary and build new ones (starting something new energizes you, rather than scares you off)
  • An action-oriented, “fail fast” startup mentality – you aren’t deterred by failed experiments and are willing to iterate quickly to keep driving forward
  • Familiarity with tools we use: Google Docs, Mailchimp, Slack, Eventbrite, Zoom

Some Project Examples:

  • Design and implement a high-touch onboarding experience for new clients
  • Identify sources of community churn and come up with creative ways to reduce churn
  • Strategize with a client how to optimize engagement within their Talent Community of prospective candidates
  • Help a client start an online community for their decentralized, virtual workforce

  • Past experience working with HR teams and leaders

  • This is a full-time role.
  • Though our team is remote-first, you are (or will be) a Milwaukee resident due to in-person programming requirements.
