NEWaukee & Newance are looking for a detail oriented Marketing Coordinator to work alongside our talented Communications & Design Director, Wyatt Tinder.
We have a lot of ideas on trust, teams and hiring to share with the world. And we’re looking for the right person to help us put them together and share them effectively.
This role will be part research, part writing and part a lot of random requests because we’re a small and quickly growing team.
Day to day, you might write and schedule social media posts in the morning, research customer leads mid-day and write a new blog post in the afternoon.
We get a lot done on our team. We’ve seen teams much larger than ours produce less. And a lot of that is because we hire people who deliver consistently on what they say they’re going to do. We’re looking to keep that high bar for quality and consistency up as we grow the team.
We’re open to candidates seeking a full-time or part-time position and encourage career changers with the necessary skills and hunger to learn to apply.
Must Haves:
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools and social schedulers, for example Sprout Social.
- Solid tech skills especially Google Suite. You will need to be adept in spreadsheets and how to present info in an organized, understandable way. If you’ve built in automations and light scripting, whew we’d really be impressed by that.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools like Google Analytics. When asked a question, you’d be able to find the answer relatively quickly. Bonus points if you can bring opportunities to us.
- Familiarity with CMS – especially WordPress and Wix. When it comes to writing and scheduling blogs – can you format? Can you swap out text and insert images?
- Familiarity with collecting and analyzing data from different articles and online sources. Can you quickly find relevant information from reputable sources?
- A modern aesthetic and appreciation for branding. Can you represent ideas in images or infographics rather than long form words? Are you thoughtful about voice, tone & style?
Nice to Haves:
- Basic Photoshop Skills – this is a perk but we’d love it if you could share any examples of strong photoshop skills or basic graphic design.
