What is your job and its responsibilities?
To sit stoically and guard the Pfister lobby with my partner, Dick, the lion. I am also looked upon as the perfect photo opp for children or selfies for imbibing adults.
How long have you lived in Milwaukee & what brought you here?
I have lived in Milwaukee for over 120 years. I was a gift to the Pfister hotel from TA Chapman. I used to sit stoically outside of the Jefferson entrance, but was brought inside to enjoy the warmth of the Pfister lobby from the vantage point of the marble staircase.
What is the one thing you’d like to change about Milwaukee?
There are too many lions trying to take away the limelight from Dick and I. You have the twins over at Capital Grill and the mysterious lion imposter roaming the city streets, giving lions a bad name.
What is your favorite Milwaukee beer?
Lionkugels. (I crack myself up.)
Is there an issue you believe all Milwaukeeans should turn our attention to?
Milwaukeeans should work together to ensure that stoic animals guarding city treasures are treated with dignity and respect. It is hard work to stoically guard things. People are always climbing on you, trying to get you to mess up.
What is your favorite Milwaukee event?
I prefer just Lion around. Ba dum bum! I am here all night. Literally.
